American car rental company Hertz returns to Vietnam to serve foreign tourists

In Ho Chi Minh City, the franchise will be represented by New City Rent A Car. Later this year, a branch of the company will be opened in Hanoi. Now the company has a fleet of 40 cars. By the end of next year, the number of cars is expected to grow to 1,000.

“We will focus on foreigners who come to Vietnam to travel or work.

We are also looking for companies that need long-term rental cars for their employees,” said Nim Vuon Phu of New City Rent A Car.

Hertz first entered Vietnam in 2012 with its logistics partner Indo Trans Logistics Corp. The partnership agreement was later terminated. According to the U.S. company, it did not meet the requirements of customers at the time.

In December 2018, Enterprise Holdings, the world’s largest car rental service provider, launched the Rent-A-Car service in Vietnam.
