160 passengers aboard the Spring Airline flight were delayed for half an hour at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, after a Chinese woman prevented the plane from taking off.

The reason for the detention? Her daughter has not finished shopping in duty – free.

Because of this incident, a flight from Shanghai, which was originally supposed to fly at 3:30 am on May 15, was delayed.

According to reports, the mother looked very emotional when she lay in the sleeve of the plane, not letting the plane close the doors and take off.

Meanwhile, her daughter was still shopping at the airport’s 24-hour duty-free zone.

A video about the incident was originally posted on Douyin’s Chinese social media platform, where it began to gain momentum on the Internet.

The clip, which appears to have been shot by a traveler during the flight, shows many other passengers who were upset.

Amidst all the noise, you can hear a crew member explaining that a woman lies in the sleeve of the plane, but he was interrupted by angry passengers who could no longer wait.

In the end, the plane landed at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 9:14 am, one hour later than the schedule.

Employees of the airline said that the woman tried to prevent the doors from closing the cabin, and claimed that her daughter even called the airport police to ask the entire flight to wait.

The enraged users of Weibo did not graciously endure a fiasco, as many urge the Chinese tourist agency to blacklist the duet, and the airline to take action against unruly passengers.

Previously, a woman in China was detained after she threw coins into an aircraft engine for good luck.
