Using the latest radar technology, scientists have found that the Philippines has 500 more islands than previously thought

According to new data from the National Cartographic Office, the total number of Philippine islands is 7,641. Previously, it was estimated that there were 7,107. That is exactly how many scientists counted in 1945, the last time the islands were counted.

The discovery of new islands was made possible by the use of modern technology. The Philippine Government has been using them since 2013. Scientists have rejected the climate change and other possible causes of the miraculous appearance of the islands.
