Russian tourists became less in Nha Trang

The number of tourists in the province of Khanh Hoa in the first four months of 2019 has increased dramatically over the same period last year. However, there are fewer guests from Russia.

And if the number of Vietnamese tourists almost did not change – 930,000, then the number of foreigners grew by as much as 120% to 1.2 million. Guests from China were expected to be in the first place with 652,000 visits. This is more than last year’s results by 138%. Russia holds the second place with 136,000 travelers, which is less than a year ago, by 2%.

But the number of tourists from Thailand and Malaysia increased by 330% and 102%, respectively, to 2,700 and 12,600 people. The flow of tourists from South Korea has seriously increased – by 317% to 44,000 tourists.

The number of guests in the city was affected by the recent Sea Festival in Nha Trang. The average occupancy rate of hotels in April was 54.5%. Most customers had hotels from three to five stars. 67.7% of their room stock was occupied. In hotels for one or two stars, this figure was 35%.

Last year, the Russian tourist flow to Vietnam amounted to a record 606,637 arrivals. However, by the end of the year, its growth rates began to decline. The reason was the fall of the ruble to the dollar and the rise in price of vouchers.
