Thailand is preparing for the approaching Podul storm from the Philippines
On Tuesday, a storm known in the Philippines as Jenny walked through eastern Luzon and weakened to tropical depression. But, having reached the East Vietnam Sea, it got stronger again to the storm and began to move westward at a speed of 30 km/h. This morning Podul reached the Paracel Islands. The wind accelerated to a speed of 80 km/h. On Saturday and Sunday the storm is waiting in Vietnam.
They are also waiting for it in Thailand. The Meteorological Department has given him the third category. And warns of strong winds and downpours in the north, east and south of the kingdom.
In particular, the residents of the following provinces should be prepared for the next few days:
August 29, heavy rain:
Northeast: Bueng Kang, Nong Kai, Udon Thani, Nong Boa Lamphu, Nakhon Fan, Sakon Nakhon, Mukdakhan, Anat Charoen, Yasoton and Ubon Ratchathani.
Centre: Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.
East: Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chantaburi and Trat.
South (west coast): Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
August 30-31, heavy rain:
North: Chiang Rai, Phaiao, Phra, Nan, Lampang, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Pkhichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Boa Lamphu, Udon Thani, Bueng Kang, Nakhon Fan, Sakon Nakhon, Chaiaphum, Hong Kaen, Maha Saraham, Kalasin, Roy Et, Yasoton, Amnat Charoyen and Ubon Ratchathani.
Centre: Kanchanaburi, Uthai Tani, Sufan Buri, Tea Nath and Nakhon Savan.
East: Nakhon Naiok, Prachinburi, Chachengsao, Sa Kaeo, Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphong, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
September 1, heavy rain:
North: Mae Hong Seong, Chiang Mai, Lamphung, Lamphung, Tak, Sukhothai and Kamfaeng Phet.
Centre: Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Tani, Suphan Buri and Tea Nath.
East: Chonburi, Rayong, Chantaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket.
